Beaches – Hollywood Landmarks Adventures
We start from beautiful Santa Monica with a drive up the coast to Malibu viewing the beautiful Pacific Ocean and multi-million dollar movie star beach homes. We next take you to where the action is on the Sunset strip viewing world famous clubs and movie locations. No stop would be complete with a visit for lunch at the iconic Farmers Market which was opened in 1934.
After lunch no visit would be complete with out going and walking around Hollywood and Vine, seeing the Hollywood Walk of Fame and other famous sites. We then take a beautiful drive up to the Griffith Park Observatory to get the most stunning views of the Los Angeles area and the Hollywood sign. Then to cap off this wonderful adventure no visit is complete without a quick stop for souvenir shopping on Rodeo Drive. We then arrive back in Santa Monica and the start of Route 66.
Studios – Food – Entertainment Adventures
We start our day from Studio City viewing the major movie studios of Disney, Warner Brothers and Universal Studios. We then head to Griffith Park first stopping at the Hollywood Bowl for a quick walking tour and then to the Griffith Observatory for the most stunning views of the Los Angles basin and the Hollywood Sign. We then head south to Hollywood and Vine and the famous Hollywood walk of Fame and Gruaman’s Chinese Theater. We will stop for a wonderful lunch at ones of LA’s wonderful foodie hotspots. We will spend some time at the world famous farmers market visit Hancock Park and Paramount Studios, We will then head to downtown and Olvera street and Union Station. And no stop would be complete with out visiting LA Live, home of the Grammy’s, Lakers, Clippers and so many world class events. We then make our way toward Santa Monica and the beginning of Route 66 taking in the sites and sounds of LA’s famous beaches.

Customized Southern California Adventures
With the above suggested Tours we can provide you with that full LA Experience but Southern California has thousands of things to see and do and we feel it is almost impossible to “experience it like a local” with a fixed tour. So you tell us what you want to experience and we can customize the above tours for you and your group or create something wholly your own; tell how much time you have, what is your theme, your passion. Those must see things that mean the most to you or your group. We do Half-day, Full-day or multiple days. Want to see Hollywood studios, screenings, museums wine tasting, shopping, local foodie hotspots, you decide and we create it. We will do the work. Send you a final itinerary and off we go. FAQ’s
Are reservations required?
Yes. Due to how quickly our adventures book up we require reservations and we provide breakfast and lunch we need to know you’re coming. Occasionally we will have extra space to add on a last minute guest.
Where do we start our Adventure?
For our public trips we depart from Santa Monica. For larger private groups, we can arrange a pickup location for you. Pick up locations will be provided after you purchase your tickets
What is the start and end time of your Adventure?
We start our planned tours promptly at 9:15am from Santa Monica. But because this is Los Angeles the traffic capital of the world and since this is adventure is in and about Los Angeles our conclusion time this can vary but we generally finish about 5pm.
On our private Adventures we can start and end this adventure based on how long you want to be out and what time you want to start.
How many guests will be on your adventure?
What makes Local Travel Adventures amazing is that we are a small group and Private adventure company. We will never have more than 12 guests on any adventure. (On private group tours children are of course welcome) Because this is a private adventure there is no minimums. And we reserve the right to cancel with 24 hr notice.
What type of Transportation will we use?
We only use the newest, safest and comfortable Mercedes Benz vans. On smaller or private tours we will use our all weather Subaru Outback or SUV to get you there safe and comfortably.
What is included in your adventure?
Transportation in our Mercedes Van, Coffee and a breakfast or afternoon snack, Water, all entrance tickets and if desired a wonderful SoCal Lunch depending on where we are.
Is this adventure safe ? It is as safe as it can be. We take every precaution of where we go, when we go and always look out for our guests. We are fully insured as well.
Are Gratuities included?
We leave that up to you; our staff works very hard and is very knowledgeable and friendly. They are your “locals” local. We recommend a thank you gratuity of 15%-18%. We know they have earned it. Our private tours require an 18% service charge.
What should we bring and wear?
The climate varies depending on the season. The temperatures range from the 30Fs (0 Celsius) in the winter to the 100’s(30+ Celsius) in summer.
All our vehicles have great AC so if you chill easily you might want to bring a small sweater or Jacket. Remember the time of year you are going. Other items: A Hat for the sun, sun glasses, comfortable walking or hiking shoes. Please stay away from big heels as we usually do a lot of walking. Binoculars, Cameras, any medicine you might need. (Let us know if something needs to be kept cool) Check our website for the weather forecast. We go rain or shine. (Except in the case of very severe weather conditions).
Do your rates vary throughout the year?
Very seldom do we change our rates. Weekends are a bit higher and also during the peak visitor months.
